We grow, mill and ship washed and wet-hulled arabica from the Gayo highlands of Aceh Tengah, between 1,200 and 1,600 metres. Full lot specifications below: cupping score, moisture, screen size, availability. Samples ship worldwide.
The origin
Everything we ship comes from Aceh Tengah, around Lake Laut Tawar. We farm our own plots and buy cherry from neighbouring smallholders we work with season after season, so every lot can be traced back to a named village rather than to a collection point.
Gayo 1 and Gayo 2, Ateng Super and Tim Tim: the arabica selections that have been grown here for decades and suit the altitude and the volcanic soil.
Wet-hulled for the heavy, syrupy profile Sumatra is known for, and fully washed for buyers who want a cleaner, more transparent cup. Honey on request.
Main crop October to January, with a smaller fly crop around April to June. Forward contracts for the main crop are best agreed before September.
Why us
Not a list of adjectives. You may ask for evidence of any item below, and we have it.
Quality & certification
Every lot is graded and cupped before it is offered, and all results are recorded on the specification sheet regardless of whether they are favourable to us. Where a lot does not reach specialty grade, this is stated as such.
Our organic certification is in progress and not yet issued. We farm without synthetic fertiliser or pesticide, and the inspection and paperwork are under way, but until the certificate is in hand we will not describe any lot as certified organic, and neither should your labelling.
Each spec sheet states the certifying body and the expected issue date, so you can plan around it.
How we work
Purchases at container volume are not made through a shopping cart or card payment. Green coffee is transacted on the basis of a sample and a contract. The following are the stages we apply with every new buyer.
1 working day
Please tell us which lots interest you and the delivery address. We ship 0.3 kg per lot by courier, together with the grading sheet and any available certificates. Sample and shipping costs for the first request are borne by us.
after you have cupped
Once you have cupped, we quote FOB Belawan, Medan against your volume and shipment window, and issue a sales contract stating lot, quality, packaging, shipment month and payment terms.
2–4 weeks
Dry milling and hand sorting to the contracted grade, packing in 60 kg jute with GrainPro liners, then booking, stuffing and the full document set: invoice, packing list, bill of lading, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, ICO mark.
Production process
Four stages that decide what reaches the cup. The first three all take place in Takengon, within a day's travel of one another.

We state these terms up front so that you can assess whether our volumes and conditions suit you before making contact.

Packaging

Our standard packaging. The sealed inner liner holds back moisture during the sea passage, while the jute sack continues to allow air circulation in storage. Suitable for almost every destination.
Intended for high-value lots, long voyages, or extended storage before roasting. It offers the best protection of freshness at the highest cost.
Available on request. Generally chosen by smaller roasters who handle bags manually, or who split a single lot across several roasting schedules.

Please tell us the profile you roast and we will send the lots that match, rather than the entire catalogue. Every enquiry is answered within one working day, Monday to Saturday, Jakarta time (GMT+7).
